Creating a carousel post

Esta página aún no está disponible en tu idioma.

A carousel is just a post with more than one image. There is no separate post type to pick.

  1. In the composer, open the Gallery tab.
  2. Upload several images — JPG, PNG or WebP, up to 8 MB each.
  3. Reorder them; the first image is the one people see in the feed, and on Instagram it also decides the aspect ratio the rest are fitted to.
  4. Write the caption, adjust per network, and publish or schedule.

The Preview panel renders the carousel network by network, so you can check the crop before it goes out.

NetworkBehaviour
InstagramNative carousel, 10 images maximum
ThreadsNative carousel, up to 20
FacebookMulti-photo post on the Page feed
LinkedInNative multi-image post
X (Twitter)Attaches your images — X itself accepts up to 4
BlueskyFirst image only
PinterestOne image per pin — the first is used
DEV CommunityThe first image becomes the article’s cover
TikTok / YouTubeVideo only, so they drop out of the picker

Postbean’s own ceiling is 35 pieces of media per post, well above what any network accepts; the network’s limit is what actually applies. Instagram’s 10-image cap has its own page.

  • Use the same aspect ratio for every image. On Instagram, mixed ratios get fitted to the first image’s shape.
  • Lead with your strongest image — it is the only one most people see.
  • Keep the resolution consistent so one slide does not look softer than the rest.
