How Postbean connects to your social accounts

Esta página aún no está disponible en tu idioma.

Postbean authenticates every platform through official OAuth. You never hand us your password, and we never see or store it — you’re redirected to each network’s own login screen, where you approve the requested permissions. Postbean only keeps the resulting access token (encrypted) needed to publish on your behalf.

  • Only official platform APIs are used — no scraping, no unofficial workarounds.
  • Only the permissions required to publish posts and read basic metrics are requested.
  • You can revoke access at any time, either from Postbean (Connections, /panel/connections) or directly from the social network itself.
  • Deleting your account removes every stored token as well (see Data deletion).

Requirements:

  • The Instagram account must be a Business or Creator account (personal accounts aren’t supported).
  • If you connect through Facebook, the Instagram account needs to be linked to a Facebook Page.

Steps:

  1. From the dashboard, choose Connect Instagram.
  2. Pick either Instagram login or Facebook login.
  3. Authenticate and leave every requested permission enabled on the authorization screen.
  4. Select the account(s) to connect and confirm.

Notes:

  • Switching an account to Business/Creator can take a few minutes to take effect.
  • If an account doesn’t show up, double-check its account type and its link to a Facebook Page.
