Connecting LinkedIn to Postbean

Esta página aún no está disponible en tu idioma.

Postbean publishes to the personal LinkedIn profile of the account you authorize with.

Click Connect LinkedIn in Connections, sign in on LinkedIn’s screen and approve. The permission Postbean requests is w_member_social — post on your own behalf — plus your basic profile so the account can be labelled properly in the app.

Publishing to a LinkedIn Company Page requires LinkedIn’s Community Management API, which is only granted to applications that go through LinkedIn’s partner review as a dedicated app. Postbean has not been through that yet, so Company Pages do not appear when you connect.

If you need a post on a Company Page today, publish it there by hand.

Leaving a first comment on LinkedIn also belongs to the Community Management API. With the permission Postbean has, LinkedIn rejects the request, so the first comment field is not offered for LinkedIn. Everything else — caption, images, video, scheduling, per-network versions — works normally.

LinkedIn caps posts at 3,000 characters. The composer counts against that ceiling and suggests staying near 1,300, which is roughly where LinkedIn starts truncating a post in the feed behind a “see more”.
