How Postbean publishes to TikTok

Postbean publishes your video directly to your TikTok profile. You do not have to open the TikTok app to finish anything — once the post goes out, it lands on your profile like any other upload.

TikTok requires these choices to be made in Postbean, not on TikTok. They live in the TikTok tab of the composer:

  • Who can view this video — the audience options come from your own TikTok account, so the list only shows what your account actually allows. A private account, for example, cannot post publicly.
  • Interactions — whether people can comment, Duet or Stitch. Options your TikTok account has already disabled appear greyed out.
  • Commercial content disclosure — turn this on if the video promotes a product or service in exchange for something of value, then pick whether it promotes your own brand, a third party, or both. Branded content cannot be published privately.

Postbean will not let you schedule a TikTok post with a missing audience — TikTok rejects it, so it is caught in the composer instead.

TikTok can take a few minutes to process the video before it appears on your profile. That delay is on TikTok’s side; nothing is wrong if the post does not show up instantly.

Postbean does not send TikTok videos to your TikTok drafts or inbox. Everything goes out as a direct post — see Where is my TikTok draft?.

TikTok in Postbean accepts video. Image posts and slideshows are not supported — see Images and slideshows on TikTok.
