How one post reaches several networks
Cross-posting in Postbean is not a background rule that mirrors your content around. It is explicit: you choose the accounts on each post, and the post goes to those.
One post, many networks
Section titled “One post, many networks”- In the composer you select the accounts — any mix of networks, and any number of accounts on the same network.
- You upload your media once. It is stored in your workspace and reused for every network on the post.
- Each network gets the Default caption, or its own version if you wrote one.
- Each network gets its own per-network options — YouTube title, Instagram placement, TikTok audience, Pinterest board.
Each network succeeds or fails on its own
Section titled “Each network succeeds or fails on its own”A post is not all-or-nothing. Postbean publishes to each network separately and records a result for each:
- If Instagram succeeds and YouTube fails, the post shows published for Instagram and failed for YouTube. You retry only YouTube.
- If you cancel a scheduled network, the rest of the post stays scheduled.
- Metrics come back per network too, so the same post can be compared across platforms in Metrics.
Content has to come from Postbean
Section titled “Content has to come from Postbean”Postbean publishes what you put in the composer. It does not watch your accounts and repost what you publish natively elsewhere, and it cannot re-share an existing Instagram post or a collaborative reel — those live inside the network and are not exposed to third-party apps.
If you want existing posts inside Postbean for the record and the metrics, use Import, which pulls recent posts from your connected accounts so they appear in your calendar and reports as history.
